DVLA Number Plate Auctions

The DVLA hold six DVLA Number Plate Auctions each year, these are held at various locations throughout the country. The DVLA Auctions are currently managed by SMA Motor Auctions who are very experienced in this field.
We attend every auction and can offer our expertise and knowledge of the industry to help you purchase your registration.

We will require confirmation in writing, fax or e-mail of your bids together with a deposit which is totally refundable if we are unsuccessful with purchasing your registration.
We contact you from the auction and remain on the phone while the registration in question is being auctioned so you know exactly what the registration is achieving and it gives you the opportunity to increase your bid if necessary.

We even have some customers who ask us to purchase number plates from the auctions to re-sell. PLEASE NOTE all the number plates in DVLA Auctions have a reserve price and will not be sold by private treaty or lower than the reserve price.
There is a 7.5% Buyer's Premium to be added to the hammer price of your registration as well as 15% VAT and an £80.00 Transfer Fee.
