DVLA Vehicle Registration Offices

DVLA vehicle registration offices are situated through out the England, Scotland and Wales. The DVLA is the Government Agency responsible for maintaining the database of drivers, number plates and car registrations of all the Drivers and vehicles registered in Mainland Britain. The main DVLA office is based in Swansea, the DVLA is also responsible for issuing vehicle registrations, both personalised plates and ordinary vehicle registration marks. Number plates and car registration marks are all transferred through the local DVLA Registrations Number plate transfer Offices, which are located around the country. The DVLA local offices are used for many reasons you can, Transfer personalised number plates onto vehicles, Transfer personalised number plates off vehicles, Tax your vehicle, They have most forms related to Driving and vehicle requirements.

To transfer your registration onto your vehicle you will require the documents listed below.

  1. V5c Log Book (original)
  2. Tax Disc (Photo copy will suffice)
  3. MOT Certificate (original) ( if the vehicle is older than 3 years)
  4. Certificate Of Entitlement (V750) or a Retention Document (778) (original)

If you are unable to attend a DVLA office due to your location or inconvenience. We can conduct the transfer on your behalf. For Right Reg to transfer your registration we will require the documents listed above, there will be no charge for this service unless the registration was not purchased from ourselves, in such case an administration charge of £25 will be made for this service.

Once you have received your replacement Tax Disc with the new registration showing, you can then put the acrylic number plates on your vehicle. PLEASE REMEMBER to inform your insurance company of the change of registration. Your V5c Log Book will come through in the post direct from DVLA with in two to three weeks from the date of the transfer application.
